More and More

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.  It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 4:1‭-‬8 NIV

I am still a sinner, yes I am. Though in this passage, a particular sin is mentioned, I believe it does not only literally speak about it, but every sin a human being can commit, which makes his life impure like the pagans.

I am a Christian. I know I still sin in every minute, in every second of my life. But the promise of the Lord does not fade away - that I will be sanctified because of Him, all I have to do is to live in order to please God, more and more.

I know I still sin, but I am a child of God now. I should always be thankful that God made me deserving of becoming His child, because of His grace.

Lord, I know I am a sinner not worthy of You. I ask you to cleanse me, my spirit, as I want to be deserving of Your love. Lord, thank You for this opportunity to reach Your hand and be cleansed, and have the opportunity to become Your child. Teach me to always be mindful of my actions, thoughts, and words, and to love you more and more, so I can live a holy life, more and more. Thank You God! Always Yours is the highest honor, glory and praises! In Jesus Name, Amen!
