Follow the Only Way

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going.”

John 14:3‭-‬4 NIV

I was addicted to travel when I was a single lady. Our country has a lot to offer when it comes to beautiful sceneries, of course, provided by our amazing Creator. I wanted to see these places, enjoy and experience nature for myself. However, traveling is not easy. I had to spend money and commute or drive to places which was very tiring and literally drained out the energy in me.

John 13:36 to John 14:4 shows Peter's interest on where Jesus was going, then Jesus described this amazing place where He prepares for us a place to stay, in the future. 

Peter was like how I was before I plan trips, curious and excited for what is in store for me when I get to that place. As Christians, we all know where that place is - where Jesus was going, and we actually know the way. Remember? 

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6 NIV

The question now is that we already know the Way, are we willing to travel? Are we willing to take our cross and follow Jesus?

As much as we are eager to drain our energy during travels so to experience these amazing places, we must also be eager to travel and follow the Way, because surely, the place that Jesus has prepared for us will be the best place that we will ever experience.
