Effective!

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

James 5:16b NIV

As a wife and mother, I am always attentive to the needs of my family, whether it may be food, clothes, vitamins, even comfort inside our home. I am always in the search for things, activities, and products that are actually effective for the best of my family.

We are actually currently dealing with a pest infestation in our house. I looked for and bought products and tried if these are effective in dealing with this problem of ours. As of this day, there are slight improvements and we are looking forward to completely removing them. However, we are still worried about it.

Upon reading James 5, this verse captured my attention: verse 16b that reads, "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

Most of us are preoccupied with all the issues in this world, we are always in the look for things that will make us happy, comfortable and satisfied. We are always looking for the effective solutions to our problems. However, we often forget that there is God who can do all things, whom nothing is impossible with. We forget the effective and ultimate solution to every problem - which is PRAYER. 

Today I made a decision to not rely solely on myself and the man made knowledge we can search on google, but to always be dependent on prayer, because it is the most powerful and effective solution to our problems.
