The Instruction Manual

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
2 Timothy 2:19 NIV

I remember this one video from Nas Daily titled "Why I Hate Free." He talked about free accommodations for tours and majority did not come and avail the free gift. This is what happens when we did not work for something, we often take it for granted.

2 Timothy Chapter 2 is about being strong in the grace that is in Jesus Christ, to endure, continue the race by pursuing righteousness and fleeing from sin. In verse 19, it says that the Lord knows who are His, and those who truly are with God are those who follow His commands.

When I read this Chapter, that video from Nas Daily came to mind. Why? Because grace by Jesus Christ is free and this is also one example of a free gift which is often being taken for granted.

Some are complacent and are "hayahay ang buhay" just because they know that they are saved. They are being too confident of the grace of God that was given to them.

However, 2 Timothy Chapter 2 is full of reminders for us to stand firm, endure as a good soldier of Christ, and flee from sin. This is a commandment.

Truly, God's grace is the best free gift we can receive, but we must not be too relaxed, because this free gift comes with a command from the Lord to take good care of it so we can fully enjoy it.

Praises to our Lord Jesus Christ!
